Event Details

The Skinny Gene Project invites you to the Taste of Sea Rocket Bistro.

Join us as we explore one of San Diego’s best-kept secrets. The Sea Rocket Bistro is a farm-to-table restaurant, specializing in seafood to highlight the coastal culinary culture of southern California.

Green in every way possible, Sea Rocket Bistro recycles, composts, uses biodegradable to-go containers, and takes other measures to reduce waste.

In this economy, how and where we spend our money is very important. Why not support a local restaurant that does so much to support our community and our planet?

The Skinny Gene Project promotes restaurants that offer healthier menu options that will tantalize your taste buds. We will be showcasing a variety of some popular dishes for an extremely low fixed price.

Taste of Sea Rocket Bistro will include EACH of the following:
SALADS
Native American Wild Rice Salad

NIBBLES
Olive Tapas
Radish & Hummus Tapas
Sardine Antipasto Tapas
Beet Salad Tapas

STARTERS
Grilled Sardines
Ceviche

VEGGIE AND SIDES
Carrots
Sauteed Greens

ENTREES
Market Fish
Tuna Nicoise Salad

To learn more about these menu items, please visit www.searocketbistro.com.

After dinner, stay a while and continue the fun. Staying with the theme of “healthy food choices”, the Sea Rocket Bistro will be showing Super Size Me on their in-restaurant movie screen.

We'll save you a seat at the table!

57 million people have prediabetes and most don’t even know they have it.  The mission of the Skinny Gene Project is to change these statistics.

The Skinny Gene Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing diabetes by helping those at risk adopt healthy lifestyle changes and providing social events that reinforce positive behaviors.   We understand the importance of having a wide social network of friends that share in the belief that making healthy decisions shouldn’t mean compromising your quality of life.

Our events aren't just for those with prediabetes, they are for anyone who want to get and live life.
